Arla Food Moovers is an innovative, educational program that empowers students to take responsibility for their own food habits. The core tenet of the program is about the notion of 'rethinking' and having greater awareness of our own food choices.

As a part of our sustainability agenda and in line with the UAE national nutrition strategy 2022-2030 to curb childhood obesity, Arla Food Moovers equips teachers and students with the tools to rethink their food habits and find new solutions that work for them.

As a part of our sustainability agenda and in line with the UAE national nutrition strategy 2022-2030 to curb childhood obesity, Arla Food Moovers equips teachers and students with the tools to rethink their food habits and find new solutions that work for them.

Arla Food Moovers was published in all public & private schools around the UAE in collaboration with the general consulate of the Kingdom of Denmark, Emirates School Establishment, Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge, Knowledge and Human Development Authority Dubai and Sharjah Private Education Authority

The program was launched for the first time as a website where students accessed it using their emails. Digitizing the program was another part of our sustainability journey to not use any paper or printing during the program.

Arla Food Moovers program is designed to guide young students towards making healthy choices when it comes to their diet and lifestyle. It is a program that has been implemented in 2022, 2023 schools year in over 300 schools in UAE, targeting over 5500 students.

Students were actively working on assignments

Students came up with creative ideas like visiting classes to prepare healthy meals, increasing the number of workers in the canteen to save time and adding a big screen to the canteen to encourage students to eat healthy food

Many of the teachers were hard workers and they led the program happily with the kids

Incredible ideas have been provided by the students which have been applied in the schools, so the changes are real and effective

Good Healthy Habits to Follow
1. Prioritize Breakfast
Teach the importance of a nutritious breakfast for energy and nutrients. Encourage a balanced meal with whole grains, protein, and fruits or vegetables.
2. Include Dairy Products In Your Daily Diet
Highlight dairy's role in a healthy diet. It provides calcium, protein, and essential nutrients for growth. Encourage appropriate portions for bone health and development.
3. Eat Variety of Fruits and Vegetables
Promote diverse fruits and veggies. They offer vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants for overall health.
4. Limit Sugary Foods
Reduce sugary snacks and candies high in added sugars, unhealthy fats, and additives. Choose fresh fruit, yogurt, or homemade snacks instead.
5. Encourage Hydration
Promote regular water intake for hydration, bodily functions, and digestion. Limit sugary beverages like sodas and juices to avoid excess calories and dental issues.
